At Laura's Fashion Fabrics we offer In-Store Hands-On Classes featuring techniques and new products for fashion and home-dec sewing, machine embroidery and quilting.

As well, Laura's Fashion Fabrics offers quilting classes with Dianne Senra at her sewing workshop in South Surrey. Classes are suitable for all; from the novice to the experienced sewer.

SWEET HEART MOSAIC SERGER QUILT
Create a beautiful stack & wack style lap quilt - with the piecing done on the serger and a machine embroidered heart embellishment. In this 4 hour class you will cut, serge, machine embroider and then complete your quilt with a fleece backing.
No experience necessary.
10:00 - 2:00 Thursday, January 19th or Saturday, February 4th
$80.00 includes all your supplies to complete your quilt.
No previous serger experience necessary.
PROJECT CUTWORK
In this 2 hour class, you will have fun creating a Linen Machine Embroidered Cutwork Monogrammed Pillow.
10:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 7th or Saturday, February 11th
$25.00 includes all your supplies.
No Machine Embroidery Experience Necessary.
BABY RAG QUILT CLASS
In this fun filled 4 hour class you will create a 9 patch Rag Baby Quilt with a Machine Embroidered center square.
10:00 a.m. Thursday, February 9th or Saturday, January 21st.
$75.00 includes all your supplies to complete your Rag Baby Quilt.

BEGINNER QUILTING CLASS
Learn the basics of Quilting from HOW TO USE YOUR ROTARY CUTTER to BINDING YOUR QUILT! and everything in between. Dianne will take you step by step into the wonderful world of Quilting! and show you all the tips and techniques you need to become a successful quilter.

Join us for A Day Retreat - COLOUR SHUFFLE
SEW you want to make a MODERN QUILT! With those Great New Bright Vibrant Fabrics? Come and learn great new techniques and create a one of a kind quilt that has that contemporary feel that you have been looking for. You choose the quilt top and with Dianne Senra leading us we play all day. Construction techniques for all the quilts in the Colour Shuffle book will be taught.
Sunday, March 4th 10:30 - 4:30 at the Ocean Park Community Hall
$60.00 plus the book. Bring a bagged lunch and if you would like, a treat to share.

MACHINE QUILTING with Dianne
In this class you will learn the basics of machine quilting. We will explore marking techniques, traditional quilting including outline and stitch in the ditch. We will then expand to include crazy stars, continuous line quilting, free motion stipling and explore different techniques to make machine quilting fast and easy.
One five hour class Saturday, March 10th 10:00 - 3:00.
$ 55.00 plus supplies. Dianne holds this class at her sewing workshop.
It is important that you are familiar with your machine and can use your walking foot.
